2002 f-250 SD Sway bar end links...

After a recent oil change at a local facility, I was told that both of the front sway bar end links were severly worn and required replacement.. The cost for parts and labor was in excess of $300??? I priced the parts (l/r link) myself and they were very reasonable locally and even less expensive on line but I don't know about the labor (time involved).. It looks to me that it is a relatively simple job that wouldn't take long at all. Is this a job that can be easily done in my garage? I only see two bolts/nuts to remove, remove / replace link and re-torque nuts on mounting bolts.. Comments???

Yes, it's an easy job that can be done without even lifting the truck. Just be sure that the front of the truck is level, meaning both sides on the ground or both sides in the air, so you're not putting tension on the bar.

When you figure labor costs are around $80/hr it doesnt take much to get to $300.
