Engine/Transmission Swap? Doable?

I have a customized one of a kind 2000 F350 which I love everything about except that I want to upgrade the moter/trans to a new 2014 motor trans. Reason being I love the power of the 7.3 but since I have had the chance to drive a couple of new 2013, 2014 F450's I love the new quiet powertrain and transmission. I thought about buying a new truck until I was hit with the sticker shock the truck that would be close to the features that I have now would cost me about 60K. Is it possible to buy and install a new motor/trans combo including new computer brain and transplant it into my current truck. I am willing to spend about 20K the question is.... is it even possible to bolt the new motor into my present truck. Please let me know if I am wasting my time.
Thanks guys

It is very doable. You're going to pay a premium for a 6.7L engine, the wiring harness, and transmission. A Cummins would be easier and cheaper. After 2002 Cummins engines got a lot quieter. Also, a lot of people have done the Cummins swap, so if you run into problems you'll have an easier time finding assistance. With enough money, anything is possible.

It's gonna cost you about 15 grand, so you have to ask yourself if it's worth it

I had looked into swapping an '02-'04 front clip onto my '08 since IMOP all the '05 to current superduty front clips look dumb, but I don't think with how big all the coolers are that it'll fit under the older front end.
