1995 F350 7.3L Power Stroke

UPDATED - PICTURES ON PAGE TWO, POST NUMBER 20.

Hey all, I've been on this site before with other questions regarding Ford trucks.

I'm looking at a 1995 F350 7.3L PSTD regular cab long bed 4x4.
Other specifications: dual tanks, auto tranny (E4OD -thanks to Zaairman for clarifying), overhauled tranny (done reputably), manual hubs, water pump in 2005, good rubber, seat springs are shot, 5th wheel hitch, bumper hitch, trailer brakes, 148000 miles, body in good condition, some rust.

I can buy it for $6000 outright. Seems high to me. Thoughts?

Last time I rode in it, we were hauling hay, and I don't recall hearing the turbo spool up on it.

Thanks for your insight.

Mike

It has the 4 speed E4OD tranny. How rusty is some rust?

Body rust, around the fenders if I remember correctly. Nothing structural (I have not checked the frame). I haven't seen the rig in a few months - just got the call today that it is for sale.

Thanks for the transmission clarification.

I'd say depending on where you're located, and if the frame isn't rusted through, that that price is decent for the miles. Maybe you could talk him down a few hundred dollars, but I'd say that price is pretty reasonable.

Frame is solid, just has typical surface rust for its age.

He's the second owner - was used first by an excavation company.

As a buyer, I still think $6000 is high. I was thinking closer to $4000-4500.

You have to remember that it is a diesel, and diesels keep their value and will be more expensive than a regular gasser. On that note, it is a diesel with 148000 miles, so it is still relatively new.

That's true about them holding their value better.

Do these trucks have lockers stock? Or is it a limited slip rear end?

Open or LS - no factory lockers back then.

Over ten would be high for an old body style PSD.

Ok that's what I thought you meant. Thanks for the clarification.

How are these trucks off road? I know their weight can be an issue.
