What size tire?

Hello all. Im a newbie. I just joined today. So far I love the site

I have a 2006 f-250 SD 6.0L 6 speed. So far I have straight piped it and installed a AFE Intake. I have FACTORY steel 17 inch wheels. I currently have 285/75/17 Firestone Destination AT tires on it. I do not really want to lift the truck or at least not right now and Im due for some tires My question is what is the biggest tire that I can fit onto my factory wheels without scrubbing my fender well? Also what is your take on powdercoating rims?

Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

ive seen a bunch of SD's with 33x12.50x17 and the tires look small. 35x12.50 may rub a tad bit. or you could go 285/75/17 which is around 34x11.50x17

I don't know how big the '05+ 4x4 trucks can go as the coils can handle more than my '02's leaf springs.

Welcome to the site as well. Not a fan of the 6.0L, but love the six speed behind my 6.4L.
