Couple questions

My truck is a 2005 F-350 with a V10. Being a 05 does it have the 3v V10? Also do the spark plugs like to break off in the heads like the 5.4? Hard to do a plug change on a V10 or is just like any other coil on plug motor? Thanks for any help guys heh.

8th character in your VIN - "S" is 2V and "Y" is 3V. The 3V has the same spark plug breaking issues as the 5.4 3V, the 2V has the same spark plug blowout issues as the 4.6 and 5.4 2V, but at least it would be a 8 thread head in 05. Changing them is just like the V8's, but with 2 more of them. At least the 3V doesn't have cam phasers.

Cool, thanks for the info, its a 3V then..I'm looking forward to getting this thing all tune'ed up and running really good. Not that it isn't now but new stuff on it can't hurt.

The V10 is a beast...as long as you don't mind the fact that it's a real gas guzzler!

Yup - but then again, folks who buy these bad boys usually don't fret about the gas issue and know it comes with the territory - but that's my view from the saddle...y'alls might vary.

..very content with 13 mpg hwy / 10 mpg city

Ya, the gas mileage isn't the greatest but I love the thing. It should have plently of power to tow my Jeep with camping gear down to the Badlands in Attica IN..
