Need opinions guys....07' F350 Scab Longbed Lariat

Decided its finally time to move up from the 150...Found this, 07 F350 PSD Lariat 4x4, Scab longbed, fully loaded...Looked at it tonight, and made the deal for 31.5k cash out the door...KBB and NADA say say value is 34k, so i think im good...Heres the link, lemme know what u think, or anything about the 07s i need to know...thanks

Welcome to the expensive high maintenance of the 6.0 PSD engine. At least the 07's were the best of the bad.

Thanks man..i know there are alot of horror stories about the 6.0, thats why i went with the 07...Considered an 08 as well, but im way more leary of first year engines like the 6.4...but who knows...anyway, it ran great and its immaculate also....What are the prices on the ones your lookin at?

Nice looking Super Duty but $32K for a 4 year old truck with almost 50k miles on it seems like alot of money for a used truck. Of course it being a diesel the mileage isn't significant. KBB & NADA might list the value at 34k, but with diesel fuel almost $4.00 a gallon and climbing I would think any new or used, diesel engined vehicles are going to be tougher to sell. That fact alone, IMO, brings the value of that truck down to more like 28k to 30k instead of 34k.
The cost of diesel fuel alone would certainly make me think twice about buying a diesel truck. Gasolne is expensive enough.
But, it's still a darn nice looking truck, good luck with it.

I can't see giving 31.5k for an extended cab. A buddy of mine traded in his 07 Lariat CC 4X4 6.0 with 30k miles right around when I bought mine. I could have gotten it through an in and out at the dealer for $28k+tax. They were asking $32k for it on the lot.

Make sure to have an Oasis report ran. It will tell you if the the truck has been in the shop for warranty work and what was done to it.

As much as it sucks, things are a little more expensive here in jersey...The $31.5k is tax, title, and reg included...all done...

Here are the two I'm looking at. Both are crew cab lariats. Those are the asking prices, so hopefully I can talk them down 10% or so. Still debating on diesel vs. V10 though...

yep. EGR delete and head studs. ~3k+ for both. and don't go with some "awesome" bully dog, banks, edge, etc tuner. get a SCT and have it tuned by a reputable diesel tuner. you also need gauges if you tune the truck, if you run your EGT's to high for more than a couple seconds you will destroy your motor pretty quickly.

hell i'll sell you mine for nearly 11k less and it has both of those things already done

31k is pretty steep, there are better deals out there IMO. That's a nice looking truck though
