Various phases my truck has been through. Plenty of Pics!

Sorry for the long thread. The truck has been through a lot. Finally getting it to where I want it. Still Not done with the interior and the truck is currently at the body shop getting the 08 clip put on it.

Day I got it. 8" Fabtech coilover conversion. Rode like a brick. 38x15.50x20's on Trax forged wheels. Had a road armor bumper with a 16.5 warn winch.

Back to normal front end

05-07 HD Conversion. All oem Ford parts.

Driv off-road 20x10's

Added 20x12 Weld Cheyenne's(should have never sold them) and 38x15.50x20 Toyo M/T's

Picture325.jpg?t=1298401784
Picture326.jpg?t=1298401819

And then lucked out and got some 05-07 axles with less than 100 miles on them. One of the best mods I have ever done.

Took the big lift off and dropped it back down to around 8" of lift. Added 22x14" Kmc 799 wheels and 37x13.50 Toyo M/T's. Also powdercoated some engine parts and threw on some 08 mirrors.

I wish my pockets were as deep as your lol. Looks good man, i still think you should of left it at the 12" rize and 40s or the 38s on 24s. What are the next plans besides the 08 front clip. Drop a 6.7 in it.

Damn, that truck has come along way, and then some. Very impressive man. I've seen your truck posted around the site before, very cool to see how it started out.

Did those gas struts come with the 08' tailgate setup? Wonder if those can be picked up separately?

Well, I'm subscribing. I think with larger tires the bigger lift would have been fine, but I think the 8" lift gives it the perfect height and stance withe the tires. Great truck!

I knew your truck been through a couple of phases, but not near that many. Removing the Road Armor bumper surly made a huge difference. It's amazing how much better the 05-07 front end looked compared to the older ones. I think the truck looks the best the way you have it now. The 12" Rize was huge, but it's not very practical for using the truck a lot.

I have a few questions for you. First off what lift do you have on the truck now? I know you said it's an 8", but which one?
Joe told me that he didn't have any rubbing issues with the 7" lift and 14" wheels, but want to make sure. I know you have a different body style, but since you're putting the 08-10 front clip it should be close.

I noticed you have the radius drop. Does the truck ride good with it? I'm planning on getting the OUO ALA's, but may wait a while if it's not really worth spending the money. The main reason I wanted them was b/c they look better than the huge radius arm.

You said that the Fabtech rode like *****. Shouldn't it have been a pretty good ride since it was the 4-link and had coilovers?

What was your reason for swaping axles?

I'd like to see an '11 front end swap. Not a fan on the 08.

HighOn22's, the 4.0 coilovers are just way too big. These trucks need a 2.5-3" diameter coilover. I was never happy with that set-up so. I worked at a 4wd shop and we put an 18" kelderman kit on a customers truck. His truck was an 07 and nobody made a big lift. I swapped him my 99-04 axles and got his 05-up axles. They are wider which means they turn much better. That and I wanted to update the truck in every possible way but keep a 7.3 in it.

The truck currently has a 4.5" Icon lift, 1" TEI spacer, and a 3" body lift. And it rides like a champ. Stock radius arms, Bilstien front shocks, radflo rear shocks. I want OUO traction bars but may throw my rize ones back on for the time being.

str8t six, thanks! It has came a long way. Still not done and here is a teaser pic.

A 7.3 with an 08 front end, that's just too sick.
