I have a 2000,XL reg cab, F250 super duty, 5.4 with 273,000 miles on it now. Still seems strong.Purchased it with 221,000 miles on it. Replaced all 8 coil packs, regular maintenance, filters,oil. What mileage can I expect above this before the engine eats itself?

 

You can't predict that. It could blow up tomorrow or it could run to 500k.

 

I would worry about the transmission more than the engine.

 

That would be a 4R100, and behind a 5.4 it's a very strong tranny.
