Go with the sct with customs tunes from innovative. You'll make just as much power as any spartan and pay half the price for the same product.

At first I was going to go with Spartan b/c of the screen for the gauges and also b/c I was told it's undetectable. But I've heard that it doesn't shift real smooth. I'm leaning towards the SCT with Innovative tunes with the EDGE Insight screen for the gauges. I'm not looking for a big tune so the 4 tunes that it comes with will be perfect for me: Xtreme Race, Xtreme Street, Street and Tow. If I want more I can always get the KEM 345 later.

I'm pretty sure extreme race is an 300+hp tune lol. I imagine you'd need a dpf delete to run anything higher then street. Definitely going to have to give up your warranty if you want to go fast.

Yep, I know. That's why I want to wait. I don't have intentions on running the truck hard with it, but if something were to happen I don't want to have to spend the $$$$ out of pocket to fix it. You have to pay to play and right now I'm not willing to take that chance. I was also told I'd be wasteing a lot of money putting any tune if I left the DPF. The DPF restricts the power.

the sct loader with a insight is the way to go. the livewire is nice but it is not as good of a display as the edge..

Go with SCT and get a scan gauge and gauges mounted on the pillar. The scan gauge displays the same info as a insight, yet is cheaper and can transfer to any vehicle. That is my plan when I get a diesel.

Thanks. Your 250 was sweet. Why did you sell it? Was that a 4" lift or a leveling kit? I want to run a 6-8" lift with 37's, but haven't excluded the 4.5" ICON with 35's out.

Thanks. I have the chrome bumpers and grill so painting the side badges with black inserts will throw it off. I'm looking into getting an FX4 grill or Chrome Package grill and painting the outer shell Gray. Maybe with a painted grill painted side badges would go. I'll play around with it some and see what'll look best.

I had them done by a shop with automotive clear. They were sprayed with clear/red first so the reverse lense would be red, then the lights were sprayed with clear/black. This way you can't see the reverse lense. It'll cost you around $25 to do yourself with Niteshade and Dupont Clear. It cost me $50 for tails, mirror lense and 3rd brake.

Thought I'd give an update. I just ordered the AMP power steps so should be in next week some time.

That's odd. I've heard of shops not wanting to do mirrors, buy never lights. The prep work is easy and they can be done in 10 minutes.

If you're going to have to do them yourself go to a local auto store and buy a can of Niteshades, One can of Dupont automotive clear ( make sure not to get the laquer type clear, it'll be hazy) and 800 grit wet sand paper. Make sure to apply very light coats of the night shade. It'll look spotchy at first, but then it'll settle evenly.
