I just bought a 2008 F-250 and it came with keyless entry. The dealer didn't have the card that came with the truck and they were not a ford dealer so they didn't know the code or how to reset the code.

Is there a way to reset the code on the truck so I can use the keyless?

 

Just go to a Ford dealership and have a tech hook it up to a computer to read the door code. If they're nice, they won't charge you the diagnostic fee. Our '09 card got misplaced when we got the keys and manual, but all it took was a trip to the service dept. and a few mins to retrieve the code off the computer.

 

Isn't the number printed on a sticker on the BCM?

 

Supposedly, but it's a biatch to get to in the '08+ trucks. I remember seeing pics of one guy having to tear into his dash just to get to it. The sticker was located somewhere by the radio.

 

Is it the same as the 150's? Located under the back seat or something??

 

Don't know. I would like to try and find it before I go to the dealer.

 

Found the keyless code! The last owner wrote it down in the owners book. :-D
