Yeah a small dent, looks worse in the pic. It's from when I wrecked my truck 3 years ago and jack knifed into a ditch while towing my boat.

Jesus your old bed was bad. They must salt the frick out of the roads where you live? I've NEVER seen it get that bad under a drop-in liner.

That wasn't from the roads. The bed was rusting from the top down.

Well sure, but, not sure where on the map you are, but if they heavily salt the roads in the winter it would speed that corrosion as the salt would find its way in there. I've had trucks with a drop in liner in them for 10 years with only light surface rust to be found underneath and I live in a climate with harsh winters, but they use more sand here then salt.

I'm just curious - Your truck doesn't seem old enough to have rust like that. That's hard to look at. Glad you got your new bed on though, looks great.

Got the bed bolted down tonight (pain in the ***), lights wired, and started the pin stripe removal, then it started to pour. Bed will be done by Thursday. Dunno when the flares and bumper trim will be painted. Need to get the truck road worthy first so I can move my boat.

My bad is the same way zachs was if not even worse my whole front support rusted out on my bed and literally fell off from the owner before me having one of those rubber bed matts. Mines an 01 and the bed floor is gone in all four corners. And I agree with him the bed defently rusted from the top down on both of ours.

Don't mind the mess on the back of the bed, that's where the body guy started to wetsand and ran out of time...

Just got the phone call that the bed is buffed. Now I just need him to paint the flares and bumper trim.

How much you paying for the bumper piece to get painted?

I'm so glad I scored a bumper w/ the trim piece the same color.

Budhaaaaar, I have no idea what it'll cost for just the bumper trim. :o Total cost in painting the bed was $600, including the $100 for 1 quart of red paint.
