Yeah a small dent, looks worse in the pic. It's from when I wrecked my truck 3 years ago and jack knifed into a ditch while towing my boat.
That wasn't from the roads. The bed was rusting from the top down.
Well sure, but, not sure where on the map you are, but if they heavily salt the roads in the winter it would speed that corrosion as the salt would find its way in there. I've had trucks with a drop in liner in them for 10 years with only light surface rust to be found underneath and I live in a climate with harsh winters, but they use more sand here then salt.
I'm just curious - Your truck doesn't seem old enough to have rust like that. That's hard to look at. Glad you got your new bed on though, looks great.

Got the bed bolted down tonight (pain in the ***), lights wired, and started the pin stripe removal, then it started to pour.
Bed will be done by Thursday. Dunno when the flares and bumper trim will be painted. Need to get the truck road worthy first so I can move my boat.
