how do i know

How do I know if I have this "passive" antitheft device the insurance company wants to know. They say that it was an option on my new to me truck 07 F-350 diesel.

2007 yes you do, if your key is fat and has a plastic dipped end it has a PATS chip in it (Passive Anti Theft System)

Pats key on left, non pats on the right

Nope... my 2000 with factory keyless entry doesn't. G/f's 2004 F-350 with every option doesn't have it.

Sorry, I meant all the 07's. I didn't realize that it was an option on the 07's. I think it's standard on the 08+ trucks.
