spark plug info

1999 Ford F-250 Superduty 5.4L 4x4 ext. cab

Its a 2 valve and i know 3 valve had spark plug problems. I use E3 sparkplugs in my other vehicles and they work great. I would like to use them in my truck but i dont want the dropout plug issue to happen. Should i use anitseize on the threads or not? It has Autolite XP Iridiums in there now and they were put in by previous owner with no rececipt and i dont know how old they are. Id like to improve my gas mileage like my other vehicles with the E3 plugs and back them up with new ACCEl coils. What do i do?

i just researched all pulugs on this forum for my 2001.

Either use Ngk iridiums or Motorcraft plugs only!! Autolites are the worst and other plugs have caused misfires

Accel coils are not good and neither are granatelli, they say to use motorcraft which are $500 or Globals which are $75, everyone loves the cheap global-automotive coils

Nickel plated spark plugs, 28 ft/lb dry.

You aren't going to improve anything over stock Motorcraft plugs an OEM quality coils - unless you have a heavily modded engine. There's no way you are going to get decent gas mileage out of that heavy a truck with that size engine.
