Tire decisions

Finally time to replace the OEM Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. I know this is not the Tire/Wheel forum, but figured I'd post here since most of those threads don't involve load range E tires.

I'm wanting to stick with the A/T tire. Anyone have any thoughts / experience with the following.
LT275/65R20 E

Michelin LTX A/T2
Toyo Open Country A/T

Also, opinions on white letters in or out. I'm leaning towards in, due to the hassle of cleaning the whites.

If going with an A/T tire, I would personally go with the BF Goodrich T/A KO's. Great tires on and off road. You can't go wrong with Toyos, but I think the BFG's are a better A/T tire, personally.

I have the aforementioned BFG AT KO's and I absolutely hate them. Next set of tires I get will probably be some type of mud terrain for the 16" wheels. For my 20s, I will be going with the Toyo Open Country A/Ts. Great tread life, great traction (buddy made the switch from mud terrains to the Toyos, said they're good but not quite as good as muds), and you can't beat the price of them. Also, you should be able to fit a 305/50/20 on your stock height truck. As for the whites, I don't think the Toyos come with white letters, so that solves your problem.

I appreciate the comments so far, keep em' coming.

As for the BFG T/A KO's, I don't like the tread pattern and have read a number of reviews about short tread life in the E range tires. I have heard that they are wonderful in muddy terrain, but I don't do the muddin' thang. My baby's a camper haulin street queen, with the occasional traverse across some grass to retrieve a downed tree or two.

Zaairman.....
Most Open Country A/T's are black wall only, but certain sizes (LT275/65R20 included), have the OWL's.

Haha...Now whats funny is that I think treadwear of these tires is great. It's one of the few things I like about these tires. But mud traction absolutely sucks.
