What happens with the 11,000 and any previous trucks that didn't pass the "no issue" test?

i agree..the 5.4 had no bussiness in superdutys. good to see ford boosting up the power in the gas engines.

I am also glad to see a new line of engines coming out that will hopefully give better power and fuel economy. I do disagree, however, when you say that the 5.4L has no business in a Super Duty. I've put 22,000 miles on mine in less than a year's time with no problems. It posts respectable fuel mileage from a 7000lb truck on 35" tires, and I've towed 8000lbs with great stability and confidence. More power is good, don't get me wrong, but having a rig that gets 11mpg empty isn't a good direction to take.

I'm expecting the new 6.2L & 6-speed auto to be a hot combination. Too bad I'm not new truck shopping anymore because that's what would probably be out in my driveway in the fall.

I don't know what our daily number will be at first. I imagine around 400 to 600 per day(2 shifts) at first but will eventually be up to 1100 to 1300 per day.

I'd love to take a tour of that plant and watch this process. But, I don't see me getting to Dearborn.

Since the OP is in Kentucky, you're probably right. Is this just for the engines? The truck is assembled in Dearborn, is it not?

Superduty trucks are built in Kentucky. The new 6.7 diesel will be built in Mexico.

The truck is built at Kentucky Truck Plant (KTP) in Louisville Kentucky. The 6.4 and 6.0's were built at two plants one is around Indianapolis Indiana and the other was farther south I believe around Alabama or Mississippi, both built by Navistar. The new 6.7 is being built in Mexico.
