max payload in the bed
max payload in the bed
I have an 06 f350 SRW with the 6.0 crew cab and long bed. How much weight can i have in the bed? I need to move quite a bit of sand and need to know what can go in the bed. thanks a lot!
depends on how far your going/how fast your driving/ how comfortable you are with really working your truck. a guy came into where i work and hauled out a ton in his honda ridgeline. in that thing you can probably fit whatever it is you need to move.
I've hauled a 8' box full of sand in my F150 standard payload without any issue. Although, the stock tires wanted to pop... stupid cheap Hankooks. With my new tires, I doubt there would be any issues.
So a F350 wouldn't flinch...

The limiting factor will be your tires. If you have Load Range E tires with 65 psi in them, then you should be alright.

You will be perfectly fine with 5000 or even 6000 lbs, just make sure that you have the tires up to their max psi.
Here is a picture of my F150 with roughly 2.2 -2.4 cu yds of sand in the bed, which calculates to somewhere in the neighborhood of 6000lbs (+/- a couple hundred lbs). I had the tires aired to their max (load range D) and air the Ride-Rites up to 100psi, in the picture there is only 40 psi in the bags. I only had to take it about a mile to a buddies house to unload it.
