im trying to find info on the v10 6.8 and im having a hard time, seems there is a few variants. ive found 305hp 2v 310hp2v and 362hp 3v and 355hp 3v... what gives? can anyone sort this out for me? im looking at a 2005 f250 it says its a 5speed manual on the ad ( from my reading they came with a 6 speed, but that seems to be another mystery ) and a v10. and i just would like to know what v10 it has but i keep getting conflicting information.....

screw the horsepower numbers. the torque of the V10 is what makes the difference.

My dually used to lay it down! But put a set of Toyo open county MT's on it and it won't do that anymore. It's slow as Methuselah now.

 

I know the feeling... my little truck used to zip with the Hankooks on... now with these very knobby General Grabber AT2's, they really seemed to hack up on the performance on my truck. But who cares! I'd rather go slower than be calling a tow truck... and I'm sure you'd agree.

Some hard working trucks aren't road queens..

 

Yeah. I found out on CHRISTMAS DAY that mud tires are good for getting ya "REALLY STUCK", instead of just "spun down"

 

How'd you get that out? Tractor I'd hope?

It took a semi truck wrecker. He winched it out. I was 150 miles from home in Augusta Ga. The neighbor's tractor wouldn't budge it. And I thought the wrecker was gonna pull the truck in half. It drug the wrecker back several feet even with the outriggers down.

 

That is crazy... looks rather soggy anyhow.
