sound question
diesel engines don't like the cold. remember, diesel engines don't have spark plugs, so they use heat and pressure to cause combustion. when an engine is cold, it is harder for the engine to fire. the reason for glow plugs is to heat up the combustion chanber prior to starting the engine. this is also the reason that diesel engines have block heaters. if i keep mine in my garage overnight, it runs smooth as silk from the get go. if it stays parked outside in the cold overnight, it takes a mile or two for things to smooth out. this is normal for a diesel.
yep, 6.0 first winter first diesel. i plug it in and let the plugs warm for a bit. i figuerd it was normal but i just wanted to make sure cause it sounds rougher than good lol. thanks all
