FX4 vs 4X4

What is the difference between these four wheel drive packages on a 2008 F-250?

What would I need to do to an '08 F250 4X4 to fit 35/12.5 on the factory 18 inch wheels?

Curious also on the '08+

On the '06 the FX4 pkg included the addition of skid plates, an FX4 sticker, and the faux - Rancho (labeled) shocks...Powerstroke73 opened my eyes on that one

Need to get those Bilstiens

Me too!

FX4 was a trim level until this year, then it became an appearance package, like it used to be, prior to like '04. It includes the skid plates, decals, Rancho-branded shocks, and a couple other things, along with a different grill, color keyed bumpers, color keyed grill surround, color keyed mirror caps.

a standard 2 - 2.5" front leveling kit doesn't require a shock change
