It's purty much a matter of choice.
Exactly! My point to the OP is even though the V-10 gets worse fuel mileage than a diesel, the operating costs are pretty even.

I was a diesel guy until I got my 6.8 in my old '01 F-250, it was a great motor and my wife hates the diesels now and is asking to get another V-10 if I get back to a bigger truck...

a gotts mod and a chip makes the mileage and power better

Oldy but goody

Thought I'd bring back an old thread with a quick update. I really appreciate all the comments and advice you guys had to offer, and we ended up going with an '04 F-550 6.0 PSD with around 60,000 miles on it. So far the mileage is great and we couldn't be happier with the truck, the torque behind this thing is ridiculous.

Heres a few pics:

I am from MA, I live on the cape in the Harwich/Chatham area but am currently finishing up as a senior at Fitchburg State. The truck is for my dad's landscaping business, and was purchased in Wilmington MA. I am usually in charge of researching, scouting, and putting down payments on equipment off cape until my dad can make it off cape to look at it. This is just our latest purchase!

Hey Little, I'd be willing to bet $5 you know two of my fraternity brothers who went to Wilmington High...

Oh, nevermind, I read that too fast. Thought you were from Wilmington...
