Just got an update from the dealer. When they tore into the tranny they found lots of metal shavings AND clutch material. Waiting on approval from Ford for a new tranny.

I don't know about that. I towed this same trailer for over 2 years with my '07 F150 Crew with no issues. 6 months in a SuperDuty and I'm getting a new tranny.

Yeah - since when does a 6500# trailer overload a Superduty? I'd even pull that with an old one with a 5.4 and 4R100.
