Transmission Filter

Hey Y'all,

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but here goes...can't find on a search. I'm getting ready to service my tranny ('06 PSD automatic), and I noticed in the manual that there is an external filter. I was wondering where it is located (I haven't "searched" under the truck yet; I assumed it was internal until I read that), and I was wondering if there is also an internal one? I'm only used to the ones inside the pan so far. Thanks for any info.

It should be an inline filter (Magnafine) in the return line from the cooler back to the trans. There is only the screen in the pan, nothing else internal.

Ahh, ok. I'll check there. I looked under it yesterday, and I didn't find anything (but I didn't look in the cooler lines). Thanks!
