Question Difference in PSD $$

I went over to the local ford dealer, and I looked at two SuperDuty a F-350 Cab chassis and a F-250 CrewCab, both were 4x4, Anyways the F-250 had a PSD and a 6-speed. The 250 had a PSD auto. The PSD in the F-350 was $4250 and the F-250 PSD was $4600. What causes the difference in price?

You might want to do a search for it but, I remember reading over at http://www.ford-diesel.com that ford is giving discounts for trucks with the manual transmission. I didn't really pay attention to the details but, maybe that's why.

Okay I will check that J-C. I was hoping that when I order my new truck I would get somekind of cheaper priced PSD. Thanks

Ill give you a tip. If you want to tow, get the f250. Want payload? Get the f-350.

I have a F-250, but mine has the old 4" blocks. My next truck will be a 350, only because the lowered 250 looks like a woman truck..By the time I added the 265 tires, I was $300.00 away from the 350. I was scared off because of the horrible ride of the old 350's. I understand now that the difference is hardly noticable

Well here are my two, 2000 F250 Powerstroke 4x4, and a 99 F350 Crew cab with the Powerstroke, both are awesome and will pull whatever.

I've never ridden in a new SD yet but we have a 93 F350 crew cab dually w/ a 7.3L diesel and auto tranny. I think the ride is rather nice. Drives like a Caddy. I love driving that truck. We bought it used in 1995 and haven't had a problem with it, has well over 100,000 miles. The original owner used it to pull his travel trailor and to check on pipe lines.

Dually's always right better, unless their 4x4's. My dad's comp has a 93 crewcab dually 7.3lturbo and 5-speed and it rides better than my 1/2 ton. Those superduties ride like a cadillac. Cowboy caddy that is.
