I have found a 2000 F-250 Supercab w/ v10 2wd and only 40k on it. The exterior is flawless, for Nebraska anyway, and it desperately needs new tires. I will be (hopefully) trading in my 2001 Supercrew 4x4 w/ 115k w/ brand new Goodyears on it. I am thinking I can do this deal for less than 1k as the asking price for the SD is $9995 and KBB has my ride near that price. What do I need to look for in and around this rig to make certain all is well before I do this deal? I am familiar with the triton engines, but the 3/4 ton chassis is new to me and any pointers would be much appreciated. Does this sound like a good deal if i can swing it for less than 1k as I will be dropping new tires on it asap? Thanks.
