Silverado commercial

There's a Silverado commercial were the Chevy owner say's to the F150 owner ..."Hey, buddy...you left your little 'man' step down"...

Kinda bad commercial for Chevy because if a person doesn't have the ability to jump up on the tailgate it actually comes in handy. They made the F150 owner look like he had trouble getting down it - more like he may have had a handicap - so even the more reason it seems a good thing.

I used to kinda hack on the tail step, but after hearing folks saying they like it overall and trying it myself, it seems a plus for folks getting up there in years.

Just an observation...

Ya I think Chevy just wanted to try and make fun of Ford in that commercial even if it didn't make sense. I mean don't they try to compare that to their 100k mile warranty after wards? How do they tie in a tailgate step to a warranty? I think the tailgate step is a good idea. First time I saw it on a F-250 King Ranch I thought it was a pretty cool idea.

I don't like it because I don't need it. Maybe some day it will make more sense to me.

I think the commercials kinda funny. And theres that other one where the guy makes fun of the truck with the heated steering wheel? Maybe i'm a pu**y, but on the 10 degree days a heated steering wheel might be nice.

Its just another "american revolution"

free advertisement for your biggest competitor when you attempt to make fun of them

what about those people that are kind of handicapped. My dad would probably love to have one of those if he had a truck. He has a hard enough time getting in his Expedition. (believe it or not) its a job for him. So I think in a way, Chevy just pulled an indirect Obama.

Ford loved that commercial because it advertised the feature, mocking Chevy for doing a big no no for commercials, and that's showing your competitors features instead of weaknesses.

When had to put a new tailgate on my 2004 PSD, I almost went with the tailgate step.

But................man was it expensive to have to buy from Ford and there weren't many on ebay to choose from at the time.

The step mechanism alone is around 1000.00 bucks by itself, that was enough for me to choose the non-step version.

A 5 gallon bucket works good too, if you have good balance.

this might work to fords advantage.. someone might not know about the tailgate step and think" thats kind of cool" and want to take a better look at the ford f series.

I need a "non-man step" on the passenger side for my wife so she stops complaining everytime she gets in my truck!

Jeesh she still complains even after having the baby!

That comercial shows Chevy's complete lack of innovation, which is a contributing aspect of why they are currently caught in the predicament that they are in!......
