I ordered a bumper today...

I got tired of talking about it and finally broke down and ordered my bumper. I ordered the Warn heavy duty winch bumper with the brush guard, part number 74777. The shipping weight on this monster is 435 lbs! I hope that includes the weight of the wood crate it is packed in! The cheapest price I could find was about $2400, then i looked at Amazon, where it was $1899 with free shipping and no sales tax. I pulled the trigger. Here's what it looks like on a truck that is much nicer than mine...

Nice choice that bad boy is going to make your truck look absolutely sinister.

Thanks! That is my goal...to make every car on the road think twice before pulling out in front of me, and if they do, make them sorry that they did!

You gonna put a winch on it, and when you gonna lift that thing?

I wish I had the money for an 8" lift, a set of 20x10 USA Forged wheels, and some Toyo 37x15.5x20 M/T's. Anyone know where I can get about $4k?

Ya all you have to do is send a letter to Obama and ask for some money. Pretty good chances right there.

Bumper is going to look great man! Amazon probably isnt too happy about shipping that monster for free!

Yeah, too bad I pay my bills. I don't qualify for any of that redistribution of wealth. Only people who default on their mortgages and make less than $20k a year will see any of that money.

Thanks, I'm sure' that they aren't, but that's ok. They pissed me off on another order. I ordered the D-ring shackles for the bumper and the D-ring shackle receiver for the rear. They shipped the receiver, but they refunded my money for the shackles, saying it was undeliverable. The UPS website shows that it never left the warehouse. I had to reorder them...

I was thinking the same thing. Or maybe if you have a shop or garage with exposed rafters set up a pulley or winch system. Maybe a couple of high rise floor jacks on both sides. Just spit ballin. I would help you if I lived closer, I would love to see that thing in person.
