Help a chic out....

I have a '99 F250 SD XLT 2WD. Currently with stock rims and LT265/75/R16 Firestone tires. I would like some advice on either a 2" or 3" lift and A/T tires or simply a larger A/T tire with the stock rims? I would like my girl to be bigger but I am not sure what way would be the best in the long run. Thanx

i did my ol' 250 with a 2 inch front leveling kit and F-350 rear blocks but mine was a 4X4

I ended up running 315/?? tires on my stock 16" rims

Largest tires you can fit on the stock rims are 285/75/16.

I found them in a wrecking yard...

I miss my old truck, it the $#!* the V-10 pulled like no tomorrow and the guy that bought it babies the **** out of it and he never plans on letting it go

pagnew did you talk to tasca ford or f150partsguy? i hate to have you buy new but a wrecked F-350 that's being parted out will be hard to find.

also try floyds repairables out of Minnesota, they have all kinds of cool parts

Thank you for the input fellas. As soon as start the work on 'er i'll post some pics. My only question now is, since my F250 is not a 4x4 I think I should buy the tires afterwards then measure the space that remains before purchasing the tires, right? I really wanted an A/T tires. Next question how do I get that awesom muffler sound that'll make heads turn but that's not to rough kneck?

lol well i dont know anything about the leveling kit and tires and stuff... but to get a sweet sound... either chop you muffler off and weld a pipe in its place... OR! take it and put a 4 or 5 inch exhaust on it with no muffler... will sound awesome!
