Thumbs down 2008 Cleaning Exhaust Filter question....

How often are the 08's supposed to clean the exhaust filter or Regen? Mine doesn it like every fillup. Is this normal? It kinda pisses me off because I know I loose tons of MPG's while it is doing it.

mine does it about every other fill-up. city driving kills it because it plugs up the filter.

Supposed to be every 600 miles or so, according to the owners manual.

This thread reminds me that I need to take mine in for the recall that reprograms the ECU and the instrument panel to indicate when the truck is in regen.

It is saying, congrats... Ford just took 100 miles of your tank of diesel at every fill up.
