My dad wrecked the tailgate on his 04 f-250 about a week ago. Anybody know a place where i can find a replacement one for cheap?

 

Have you tried eBay? My experience with eBay has been great, and you can usually find parts much cheaper than other sources.

ebay's good...another option is you could always try your local scrap yard.

 

Hah man.. I searched ebay motors up and down before and couldnt come up with any results. Thanks a lot for the help these are good, I guess I was just doing a poor job of searching.

 

No problem. That 2008 tailgate should work fine, that's why I listed it. it has the step too. The only modification that you have to make is with the torsion rod that lifts the tailgate. The lift rod mounts a little different on the newer one, but it is supposed to be a very simple mod. good luck with the replacement!

Would an F-250 tailgate fit on an 04 F-150? I ask because I saw a superduty with an old body style (97-03) F-150 tailgate on it...
