Know several months ago i thought about trading the 08 250 due to the
diesel prices. At that time would be lucky if got half of what you paid
for one a few month earlier.
Dealer told me that many owed allot more than close to being worth.
I paid cash so his recommendations was just to keep it. And get
something a little better on fuel. The lose that would take could
easily pay for a small fuel efficient vehicle.
Anyway have been curious how many have lost there trucks due to
worsening economy.
Have people seen many going across auction yards

I paid cash for my truck too back in 2005 but now I am disabled and wish I had that money right now when I need it.
im lucky if mine is worth half what i owe lol.. its not that big of a payment so...not a big deal. the guy that had it before me had it repossesed according to the small dealer i bought it from. im sure i can still get a good deal on a 08 with all the incentives etc.. i have good credit so im not to worried. i just wouldnt be able to sell it privately.

My truck is probably worth half what it was paid for - even with low mileage 25K. Oh well, I bought it as in investment in our family like farm work, hauling building supplies and taking the family in a nice trailer on a vacation from time to time...it's definately been a great investment in that regard.
I am making payments but at 0% interest, which is no different that paying cash, except that I get to keep my cash and give it to Ford incrementally over 5 years.
It will be a year old next month and I have 6000 miles on it. At this rate, I might hit 60,000 miles in 10 years. Riding a motorcycle to work all summer long really helps keep the miles off the truck.

Ok, let me get this straight. I can keep my $40,000 and earn interest on that $40,000 for 5 years and pay $600 a month to Ford at 0% interest or I can hand Ford $40,000 and let them earn interest on that $40,000 for the next 5 years. Let's see...I guess I don't care that Ford Credit holds the title to my truck. What good does having the title do me anyway? Can't race for pink slips?

OK...if you feel like pushing this let me put it this way...I bet you didn't have the $40K to pay your truck on the spot, that is why you financed, which is understandable (but of course, you have the cash and decided to finance!).....right! (BS). Also, If I remember right you just recently traded in your truck for another one for this 'remarkable' finance plan. You are paying for a truck at the value you bought it on that day for the next 5 years as it continues to lose value. Sorry guy...you ARE making a payment! You do NOT own it! Ford is getting something out of you whether you believe it or not. I bet your full of BS when you say you paid $40K for a 2008 F250 Diesel.
You talk a lot of talk about me without knowing me at all. The feelings are mutual...but I don't need to resort to profanity to get my point across. The fact that you do is a sign of a weak mind. Work on your vocabulary, and you won't need to call me names. Hope you're having a great day...I am because the Steelers just beat the pants off of the Chargers. Peace!

You keep making assumptions about me...I think I know what that makes you!

Dude... did I make 'assumptions'?? all I said was 'I bet'!
When you don't tell the truth you are just that...c%$#...the truth is righteous. Everything else is a joke. Go figure....I don't say nothin' about you..your own words do.

I really don't feel the need to explain myself to you, but since you feel so smart, I will give you the facts. I bought an 08 F250 in May of 07. My payment was right at $700 a month for 60 months at 7.9% interest. I traded in a truck that I had about $6,000 in equity, due to the fact that it was also financed at 0%. I made 8 payments for a total of about $5600. I traded it in in February of 08 for my current truck, payment is $676 a month for 60 months. So, if you add it all up, I suppose I will have paid $51,600 ($6,000 from trade-in, $5,600 in payments for that 8 months, and $40,000 in monthly payments) for the truck, but I did get 9 months and 15,000 miles of use out of the first truck, and that use is worth something.
Regardless, I am so glad that holding the title to your truck makes you feel so good about yourself. It seems like you really enjoy it, so more power to you. I can assure you that the fact that Ford Credit holds the title on my truck really doesn't bother me a bit.
It's just funny how you always seem to take the things that I say as personal attacks on your way of thinking. You say that you prefer one thing. I say that I prefer another. You get all upset and start cussing at me, and around we go. The only conclusion that I can come to is that you are the kind of person who is not happy unless everyone agrees with you. That's too bad because those people usually spend a lot of time mad at the world. Have a great day!
Wow, that was profound.
