bypass???
bypass???
Okay, here is the problem i am having. I am on a rescue squad. we have a 1997 F350 with a mustang mini-pumper Pierce body. it has a small (250) glalon water tank. the body was remounted from a dodge. the pto on the dodge was on the opposite side from the transmission (auto) in the F350 so the remounter made a chain drive to operate the waterous pump. this is accomplished by placing the transfer case in neutral, the truck in neutral, engaging the pto and then shifting the truck into reverse. the truck should be running ~2000-2400 rpms to get the required water pressure. the remounter rigged a cable to the gas pedal with a **** to adjust it. this is not safe because it tends to stick at times due to the angles of the cable. I can use the elecrical pcm on board the truck to raise the rpm's but only if the truck is in park. can i bypass this somehow so i can just use the pcm in the truck rather than the unreliable cable??? a swithc i cna bypass or something. i figure it is through a ground somehow but i am not sure. help!!!!!
