I was able to replace the serpentine belt in my 4.6 1997 F-150 myself several years ago. Now I have a F-250 with the 5.4 and am wondering if that replacing the serpentine a belt in it is within the capability of a weekend mechanic? Any thoughts.. The local shop wants $90 to do it plus parts.. %%^^&&

 

Kind of some tight quarters but definitely doable.

 

If you can turn a wrench and follow the diagram then you can replace the belt.
