I have a 2003 Ford F-250 super duty 6.0L diesel and the check engine light is coming on every once in a while. I took it to the Ford dealership and they put it on the machine and told me that the timing sensor is going out on it. I am trying to find out exactly where the sensor is located on the engine and if there is another name that it might go by. I have tried to located a sensor on the internet hoping for a cheaper price then what they told me at the ford place but no luck on "timing sensor". Any help and I would be very thankful.

 

camshaft position sensor i remember the same sensor went out on my dads truck but i forget what its exactly called but that might be it sorry if i didnt help
