What's the best CAI for a 2006 5.4L?

My father has an 06 F250 with the 5.4L and I'd like to get him a good CAI. Possibly one that'll gain him a couple MPG!

No... It's just that nobody really has an F-250 with the 5.4.

If he wants more power and possibly more mpg then I think a programmer would be a better option than a CAI.

Yep, a programmer will give you much more, plus, a CAI really can't help a lot unless you have a tuner that takes advantage of the extra air available, plus, if he doen't have an exhust, you need to be able to expell the extra air. Basically, to take advantage of a CAI, you need a custom tune and an exhaust, but you can get great results from a tune by itself.

I would go with a custom tuned SCT or Superchips

For a gas F-250? I'd say stick with this one really. Not a whole lot of motor differences between the 5.4 F-150 and 5.4 F-250.

Just had my ECU tuned by http://www.reinhartautomotive.com/ using a SCP x calibuer Cost me $175. The tech turned off my o2 sensors, eliminated my top speed, changed my shift points for a firmer shift at full throttle, adjusted the timing, added some spark (which i can only run 93 octane now) but i only drive the truck on the weekends and if i want he can change it back in 5 minutes.
I would call around to see if anyone would be willing to tune your ECU. The shop that did mine specialize in mercury marauders and 4.6 and 5.4 engines, And they do alot of tuning for The Florida Highway Patrol.

Get a tuner with custom tunes. Your best choices for experience and knowledge is the Xcal3 tuned by VMP or Troyer Performance, or the Gryphon tuned by Power Hungry Performance. You can have up to 3 tunes with varing octane and purposes, such as performance or towing. With a tuner, you will be able to switch between tunes in about 1 minute.

Yea front o2's are still on of course the front o2's control the air/fuel mixture. While the rear o2's measure the catalyst. turned the o2 switches off and the rear o2 downstream sensors off as well
