Superduty issues!!!

I recently bought a 2006 F250 6.0L. The truck is running fine for now, but I did notice some smoke coming from the exhaust when getting on top of a very steep hill. It smoked for about 15 to 30 seconds and then stop. White maybe little blue smoke, but not black smoke. I took off the air filter to take a look and the turbo got a little bit of oil on the intake side. I also see evidence of a very litle oil leaking on exit of the turbo. My guess is that the oil on the hot side could be extensive periods of low idling, but what about the intake side???? Could this be the seals starting to fail???

In some time I have seen the truck putting some very little smoke stopped at the traffic light. I did went to the same steep hill on different days and went to the top with no smoke at all, so the problem is not always happening. Check Engine light have never showed up. All fluid levels are good. Can I pull any codes with my Actron CP9135 scanner on this truck??? The truck is a 2006 XL with 39K miles and about 2K hours on the engine.

I'm going to schedule a visit to the dealer to have the truck checked for this and any other recalls or issues that may have , but I want to hear your comments.

Thanks guys

Thes truck have the crank case vent routed into the intake fo these trucks. This puts oil into the turbo. Its really harmless and is only emnt to not throw the il onto the ground. Your truck ahs done ALOT of ideling. My truck has 67000 miles and not even 2000 hours. I honestly dont think there is anything to worry about but I am not a diesel expert either

The oil on the exhaust side is troublesome. The oil on the intake side is from the CCV as stated. The intake and exhaust side of the turbos are sealed from one another. The only way for oil to get to the exhaust side is from the rings, injector o-rings, or turbo shaft seals. None of those should be leaking in the slightest. Extended idle time should also have no effect on oil getting into the exhaust past the rings. The only thing that can cause is a condition called wet-stacking in which the cylinder temps aren't high enough to fully ignite the fuel causing it to wash down the cylinder walls and get into the oil. This will damage seals as the fuel will eat at them, so in a very round about way extended idling could have gotten the turbo shaft seal. Your Actron scanner more than likely won't read the vehicle specific codes from the engine. It can read them from the powertrain, but the cheapy scanners can't touch the engine.

Thank you guys. I really think that this is a normal thing on this engine since there is no pattern at all. My fear was that this could have something to do with the engine being abused or something. I know that the truck was used by a contractor. There was a couple of quary tickets on the glove compartment. I think they used to haul those small yellow stones used for gardening. Maybe they used to let the engine idle a lot.

I have put little miles on the truck, but enough to notice that the truck smoke a little just when it wants to. Doesn't matter if the engine is working hard or coasting on highway. Some times even in highway it smoke a bit 20 or 30 seconds and then clears up with no change on speed or power loss. Also this is not happening every day. some times I have seen the truck with no smoking for as long as 4 ,5 or 6 days.

I'll keep looking.
