Where is the activity?
Hey folks...haven't seen much activity lately on the forum here. Did some folks get scared of fuel prices and sell their Super Duties??
I see alot of action over on the FTE site, but miss the compliments, slams, braggin', show off'n, troubleshootin', and all else on this forum...

OK, I'll bite.
I currently own a 98 F150 2WD supercab 8' bed. It is my work truck. Problem is, I need more. I routinely am putting max loads in this thing (probably going over most of the time too).
This means I should be getting a SD.
Either truck would be crew, 2WD and 8' bed. I've been looking at '01-'03 7.3. I've noticed very little difference in price between F250 & F350. Considering the capacity of the 250 is 2670 lbs and the DRW 350 is 4675 lbs, it's kinda a no brainer to go with the 350. Right?
I'm aware of the price increase in licensing, toll roads, insurance, etc.
Just found the exact loaded truck (350) at a dealer for $18k: 2002 with 69,000 miles. They're also willing to give me $5k trade-in for my '98 F150.
Sound like a good deal?
Advice?
This would be a work truck in my business name.
Thanks

If its 4x4 then its a good deal. If its 4x2 its a little steep. Either way try and talk them down some. I'm sure it is going nowhere quick. I'm still alive... Enjoying 18 MPG in my diesel truck.
I spend most of my reading time elsewhere these days.

Eh, my parents still have their 01' 250. Last time I checked, it was getting something like 16 MPG though it would probably get more if I didn't drive it.
Still not properly "broken in," with 48k miles on the clock.
