Question Best Automatic Trans fluid for Superduty

Ok, in your opinion, what is the best trans fliud to run in your F250/F350?

i run amsoil and seen a 15-20 degree drop in fluid-and i tow 5500lbs everyweekend form spring till fall- fluid doesn't brake down

Most people on the ford-trucks forum are using Royal Purple.

As long as it meets Mercon V specs just about anything will work.


You will probably have a hard time finding a better fluid than Schaffers. By far one of the best, though it can be hard to find in some areas. Brian at BTS and most of the other high performance builders are using it.

in a 1999 regular mercon or dextron 3 will do.
