Is it an auto or a 6spd? Is it 4x4 or 4x2? Is it a dually or SRW? What cab/box configuration? What kind of towing, bumper hitch or gooseneck? All of those make a difference in the towing capacity. The ONLY thing I can assume is that its a 4x4 since you're asking about D50/60 axles.

For the axles, not enough information. In 2001 the only trucks to get the D60 axle is F350 DRW trucks. The 50s shortcoming is that the shafts neck down as they enter the carrier to a smaller diameter shaft. This becomes the weak point if you're running larger wheels/tires or offroading alot. Other than that they're pretty much same performance wise.

Now please go out and read this then this. My head hurts now, I need some asprin.

Towing with the bumper as your hitch? 5,000lbs
Towing with an actual hitch will increase that though. I believe the Ford hitch is rated for 10,000lbs.

There is lots of good info in there, but kind of suprising that they don't have any GCWR or GVWR ratings. That just gives you a general capacity. For a 10k trailer you're fine, but if you've got a larger camper or gooseneck you'll need to know the GCWR. I need to see if I can dig up the chart I had with all that info on it. Theres more to the equation than just how much can the hitch pull.
