need help with 1999 f250 v10 tranmission
hi this is ezel wilson from Amherst, New York I am new to the forum and I have a couple of questions regardinh my 1999 F250 4x4 with a v10 motor transmission. The code on my transmission is PRB-AS, I have been reading a lot of forums and talking to different people online. Some say that the 4R100 transmission is interchangeable up until 03, and some say it is 99 only. Can somebody tell me if it is only 99 or can I use any one up until 03?

Eh... according to TradeMotion's Ford Parts Catalog... this is what it says for a '99 F250 with the 6.8l:

Parts And Prices Are For Estimating Purposes Only. Order By Transmission Code.
You would order it by that PRB-AS for the build code or Transmission Code. They will ask you what it is. Make sure you give it to them.
