HELP!! Getting Ready To Order New SD

Like the title says. Just wondering if anyone that has recently ordered theirs has any suggestions or advice. Im looking at SRW 250 or 350. Havent decided yet. Price will prob dictate. Going to try and load it up pretty good, ie. Heated Leather, Moon Roof, Power back glass and such. Just not sure on which trim level. I like the idea of the FX4 but I dont think I can get the options I want without going with the Lariat--"chrome grill"--for one. Anyway, just looking for any help you can give. Ive read ALL the post in this forum and have gained extensive knowledge already. Thanks in advance. Jerry.

F250 Lariat, because I don't want black interior agian, I currently have a F150 FX4, I love black but my Golden Retreiver's hair is very noticable.

I opted for the FX4 but one thing that was a real bummer is that you can't get the power sliding rear window with an FX4, but you can get it with the Lariat. I even have leather seating, but I think it has something to do with the dash panel?

I didn't want the chrome look, which is why I went FX4. The only bumper color you get with FX4 is silver, so I will have to have mine painted since I want a monotone truck.

My dealer suggested the V10 over the diesel. He had one for a few months as a demo and got 10-12mpg. Not worth the extra 7 grand to me, I'd rather put that into a lift, wheels and tires, so that is the plan when mine shows up in a few months.

Just wondering, but what did you have to pay for it since you ordered it? I know you said the PSD wasnt worth the $7K to you but is it REALLY $7K more (even though sticker says it is?) My truck had a sticker of a little over $53K and I got it for $44K (plus tax and "fees")...and its a loaded Lariat with moonroof, power slider, heated seats, traction control, back up sensor, power pedels (totally useless), 20s and so on. Now granted this was from a dealer I do a lot business with and the truck had 1,800 miles on it (the owner had been driving it), but still I think sticker on these trucks is really inflated a lot like sticker on the F150s are.

It's looking like I'll be out the door for between 37-38K, but the dealer is installing the lift, tires and wheels before I take it off the lot, so it will be about 5K more than that. We have a family fleet number through this dealer with all the combined business that our families and companies purchase through them. Been working with the same salesman since I purchased my first vehicle back in '93.

The price of the FX4 with all the options I got, including audiophile stereo upgrade, leather heated memory seats, and pretty much every other option is right around the same as a lariat. I priced it out as a XLT Sport, FX4 and Lariat. After tacking on options to be comparible, the XLT Sport was the most expensive by almost a grand and the FX4 was about $500 less than the Lariat.
