Will a programer void my factory warranty?

Also I have white smoke coming from my exhaust when I let off of the gas. All my gauges are reading normal & I'm not getting any service code. Can anyone enlighten me to the possible problem.

Yes, in a heartbeat

Hang on a second, I have to try and find my crystal ball. I think I left it in the other room................................

You MIGHT try giving us some info on WHAT engine you actually have to help diagnose the problem.

Knowing that its most likely coolant you're seeing. I'd put my money on a leaking or cracked EGR cooler. If you can have someone try and reproduce the problem while you're at the back of the truck and try and get a whiff of the smoke. That'll let you know if its coolant or diesel. Watch your coolant level in the bottle as that has probably decreased some. One thing that I hope you've thought of trying already is to lose the programmer and see if the problem persists.

FYI, any chip/programmer/module etc can and will void your powertrain warranty. Ford is particularly wary on 6.0L engines, and even moreso of the 03 and 04 built trucks due to higher volumes of problems. If you value your warranty in any shape or form then lose the programmer until that period is up. And I'm sure someone will come along and say that a programmer can't be detected blah blah blah. Sorry to say but anything you put on the truck leaves traces that techs can find. Some are easier to find than others, but they are there. Technically your intake and exhaust void your powertrain warranty, though most dealers let those things slide. Chips is a WHOLE other ball game.
