Major Dumb question....Nitto and E Rating?

I know this should prob go under tires but its really for the F250 crowd

Our trucks have an "E" rated tire. If I wanted to get Nitto's do they have an E rating for towing or do I care?

thanks

JP

I am going to assume that you are talking about Nitto Terra Grapplers, since you did not mention which "Nitto" tires you want or even what size wheels you have on the truck. Here is the Nitto site that shows the sizes that they offer. Right after the size, you will see either a "D" or an "E". I personally would never put a D rated tire on any truck over 1/2 ton. If the truck came from the factory with E rated tires, then that is what you should replace them with. Here's the link to the chart:

Yes Nitto has some E rated tires. When I got mine for my F150 they gave me a choice for either D or E

I plan on putting E rated tires on my F150... there are wayyy too many times I seriously overload it and wait for the tires to pop.
