Question Fast Idle Hook up

I have a 2008 F250 6.4 PS..I have located my upfitter switches wire ends....My question is, which wire do I use from the SEIC bundle to attach to my upfitter switch for fast idle control?

Thanks
Fred

hook your desired uplifter switch wire 1(yellow),2(green/brown),3(violet/green),4(brown) to the PTO (yellow/green) wire. keep in mind you must be in park with the e-brake on then flick the switch. i do this on all 6.4s before they are sold. let me know how it works for you.

What is the benefit of doing this? Do you leave the switch set on high idle while driving. I guess I don't understand why this would be desireable or even what it means.

Is it better to use the PTO instead of the BCP?

basically the only reason we do it up here is to help the truck warm up faster during winter

Additionally its used for charge protection if you're running alot of high amp draw items, or to avoid wet stacking. If you've got anything hooked up to the PTO the elevated idle is used for additional control of that item.
