My New King Ranch!
Oh, I'm soooo jealous. Really like the new look. Took mine in last week for a transmission flush. After dropping it off, went around front and spotted an '08 F350 Dually KR. Asked for and got the grand tour ... and I thought my engine compartment looked like a plumbers nighmare! Sticker was only $3K more than the sticker on my '06. Later that afternoon, went back to pick up my truck, and wanted another look-see at the '08 .... it had been sold. Dealer said they can't keep them on the lot. If I thought I could pick one up for what I'm paying on my existing truck, I'd do it in a heart beat (got mine during the big 3 sell off in late 2005, so it was significantly less than sticker), but actually have my heart set on an F450 KR.
Personally, I thinks the Dark Copper is the best of all the available colors for King Ranch trucks. My '06 is the same. FreekyFX4, your last statement made me remember back when I got my truck. A forum member on the KR thread asked the same question ... my response was
Ford says its Dark Copper
Service Advisor called it Burgandy on the work order
I call it "Damn, this truck in humongous" after I gave it it's first bath and wax job.

Thanks for the reply, Dark copper ?
Wasn't sure I'd like the king ranch, not too many people order them up here in canada.
The one's I saw, didn't look that good.
Will have to explore for next time.
Enjoy

This is new SSI that Ford released on Friday related to an injector issue. Here's the details:
SUBJECT: Advance Notice: DEMONSTRATION/DELIVERY HOLD
Special Service Instruction 07T07
Certain 2008 Model Year F-Super Duty Trucks with 6.4L Diesel Engines
Fuel Injector Replacement
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Certain 2008 Model Year F-Super Duty Trucks equipped with 6.4L Diesel Engines built at the Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant from April 3, 2007 through May 21, 2007. Approximately 3,100 vehicles are affected and are identified by VIN in OASIS.
REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM
In all of the affected vehicles, three (3) fuel injectors were subjected to a reverse polarity voltage during engine testing. The injectors that received reverse polarity will not operate properly. This may potentially cause the vehicle to run rough, hesitate, or stumble on acceleration.
SERVICE ACTION
DO NOT DEMONSTRATE or DELIVER any of the affected vehicles involved in this Special Service Instruction Program. A complete Dealer bulletin will be provided to Dealers the week of June 4, 2007 when it is anticipated that parts ordering information and repair instructions will be available to support this Program.

Just called the dealer - they said that that bulletin does not affect my truck - but again told me if it doesn't improve after I hit 3000 miles they need to take a look at it. He mentioned that he had buyers tell him they were getting as low as 6 to 8 mpg and some as high as 15 to 17.
We'll see what happens...........
