I used to remember growing up people would run a plug wire from the distributor to the tailpipe and kind of get a similiar effect, if you had a carburated engine and jet it real rich, but idiots would keep it up too long and burn a valve or worse. It was much different from this video, it was more of a cool yellow flame, not a solid hot orange/blue torch like flame
