Thumbs down Pro Comp Shocks

Over the last two weeks I noticed the front end was too soft and when I went over a RR Track the front end bounced more that it ever did. So I checked the tires and the pressure was OK. I took it to my shop where they inspect my truck and he told me the shocks are shot! The front shocks are bad but the back are not. I called 4 Wheel Parts and they had me call the MFG of Pro Comp and they told me the SC3000 shocks are too light for my F350 and I need to put double shocks on the front. If not go with SC9000 shocks and have 4 Wheel Parts call us and we will tell them not to put them on a F350. I paid for an up grade on my credit card and they told me they will ship them to me and asap send the SC3000 back and told me to put a return number on the box. A week later and no shocks just more Bull they are the most sarcastic people I have ever dealt with. Byers Beware of $ Wheel Parts. I was going to put a 6" lift kit on my F350 when the warranty ran out but now I have lost interest in any add on parts. The leveling kit had me excited with the 35" tires I put on my truck and I wanted to put larger tires and a lift kit on it but this has me backing off now.4 Wheel Parts has ruined my dreams of a lifted F350!

That sucks... why did they sell them to you if they weren't designed for your truck? Don't give up on a lift... there are plenty of good lifts & good shocks out there and you don't have to buy from 4WheelParts. I know plenty of people that have Donahoe level kits, lifts, and shocks that are VERY happy.

When I was told my shocks were bad I called 4 Wheel Parts and they told me they would only replace them if they were leaking I told him I can not be sure because with the weather I was it every other day and I can't see any oil on the ground. They told me they will not help me. I called Pro Comp and the tech told me to get them to upgrade due to 4 Wheel Parts sold me the wrong shocks. They told me they would and I paid the difference with my credit card and he told me I will get the shocks in a week Friday at the latest! Friday came and no shocks so I called 4 Wheel Parts and got a sarcastic kid on the phone that knows nothing! I got a run around and no shocks! They sold me the wrong shocks that did not hold up and now will not replace them. I was told LIFETIME WARRANTY on the shocks when I purchased them and I found out it was not true. Next year I was going to lift my truck and get larger tires but this has destroyed my confidence in aftermarket products.I have one thing to be thankful about thank god I found out about Pro Comp with me shocks that is much cheaper than a bad suspension on a 2005 truck. This has destroyed any faith I had in lifting my truck. I felt so impressed with the leveling kit and that is what made me want to lift it.
