$8,570!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for a new 6.4!!!!!
I was just on the ford website and started to build an 08 F350 with the new PSD and just about had a heart attack
. and if you get it in an auto it's another $1,935. that's $10,505 for the setup!!!! I want some of the crack theyve been smokin, I guess they really do want to go bankrupt. I better get a 6.0 before they run out of new ones.
here's where to build it.
http://www.ford.ca/main/default.asp?...ks&model=F-350
And They raised the price on the 6.0! I also priced a fully loaded King Ranch.......$74,114.
OH yeah and this is a Canada based ford site so I dont know what difference that would make.

You're suprised? Alot of people knew that this was coming a long time ago. The price of all the diesels for 08 will be taking a large jump in price. This is due to the federal Tier III emissions standards that are coming out. At CNH here we've been Tier III compliant since the MY07 combines came out, and it most definetly does add significant cost to the mfg of these units.
Oh, and if you think thats bad retail price of the 10.3L Iveco is around $36,000.

i went & looked at the new 08s friday
even got to test drive one
but if i remember right the psd was $6,850 somethin like that
& the tranny was less that $1500
the motor is worth it tho
no turbo lag, quiter than you could imagine, & it rode incredibly for a 3/4 ton
beat the $h!t out of my 150 rolling, but the 150 barely got it from a dead start, well until the turbos really started goin

I went a drove a 450 dually. Thing was super quiet, and the power was awesome for a deisel. I would rather have drove a 250 or 350, but i couldn't complain. If you can afford it, go for it!!!!
But it looks like i will be staying in my 150 for a while!

Diesel...
And that is priced in CDN...
That price for the diesel is in Canadian dollars. Right now, the exchange rate on the US dollar is about 20 cents. Like you in the states, we can ****er with the salesman and get the price down. Anyone who pays the MSRP is getting ripped off by the dealer. An interesting side note. In Canada, it is cheaper to buy a truck from a rural dealer in farm country, than in an urban area, or large city. Usually the country dealer has a larger stock of trucks than the city dealer. I saved $3k on my 2001 Supercrew when I bought outside of Toronto.
I have discovered over the years that when I build and price a truck on both the US and Canadian sites, that the US price is closer to what I actually pay in Canada. The Canadian price is inflated to match the dollar. In Canada, the trick is to know what the wholesale price is and add about 8 to 10% for a profit for the dealer. Most dealers will sell as they are hungry for a sale.
I don't have access to the x-plan or any other discounts so you really have to know that you are doing when buying. I have walked out of dealerships when I don't think I am being treated fairly. Eventually you find a dealer who is willing to listen and bargain.
