fuel leak..

i have a 2002 F-350, I have a leak coming from the fuel filter cover.... sad thing is... i replaced the fuel filter about 6 months ago... with a WIX filter... and followed the instructions... funny thing is that the o ring placement for it had it upside down... so it shot fuel all over the place.... we fixed that... and now its just leaking slowly all over the place and seems to be finally getting worse... any ideas on what to do? my dad thinks i should just take it to a dealership and that way if it leaks again... it could be their headache...... any ideas... cuz i really dont want to spend the money at a dealership....

More than likely a bad oring now. Change out the filter with a new one. The WIX filters I believe have the cap integrated onto the filter. If so then throw that away. That style is pretty much junk. Get a Racor / Motorcraft filter and reuse the stock cap. Hopefully you still have it because its a $70+ part from the dealership.
