Best tuner for '06 250?

I'm looking for a tuner for my '06 6.0L. I've gotta get some better mileage than i'm getting cause I just got like 9.8 the other day. I've never gotten any better than like 12 and it's pissing me off. It's been to the shop twice and they said no problems/tsb's/recalls for this truck.

What do I do?_motes

I'd bring it back to the shop. I have an 06 F250 6.0L SD/SC 4X4 and I average about 14.5 MPG.

Don't expect much of a gain in mileage with a tuner. I maybe gained 1mpg, hard to tell with winter driving and idling.

Tell me more about your SCT nvrenuff.
I finally had time today (Friday afternoon) to call Innovative Diesel AND THEY WERE CLOSED!!!!

I have horrible turbo lag, crappy power, and the boost pressure is lower since it was new (now 28000 miles).
If I stay 90% highway and below 2000 rpm best I get is 14.5mpg.
If I am 90% city best I get is 12mpg
Towing a 9k lb 5ver highway I get 11.5 mpg.
I'm spending 500$/mth in diesel.

Like mmotes said above; dealer says there is nothing wrong with the truck....I thought it would do better.
I keep reading about people hitting the high teens (mpg's).... I only see that when going down hill.

Do you think a SCT tuner will be $500 well spent?

(sorry about the hijack)

Turbo lag is non-existant with the SCT.
Highway mileage is approx. 16mpg stock, not much of gain in economy (if any ) tuned, but it is hard to tell being winter and all, idling, winter fuel etc.

Power is great, I have an Aggressive Street, Street, and tow tune. I haven't towed with it yet, I got the tuner last fall after the trailer was put away. I used the fuel economy increase to justify to the wife that I needed it, but it doesn't make that much if any difference. (I hope she doesn't read my posts ) Innovative does have great customer service, Eric explains his tuning in detail with you and will taylor the programs to your liking until you are satified.

Thats how I justified trading in my 04 F150 for the PSD with the wife. It made no difference, if anything worse... the only thing saving me is it can actually tow the trailer.
Now I need a new angle to get the tuner
