New Gears

I went to my Ford Dealer and asked if I could have my Ring & Pinion changed in the front and back? He told me they would only change out what I have because the trucks speed odometer and emissions were set to my 3.73 gears. I had this done to my 1998 F250 but it was a 5.4 gasser. I want to keep my warranty with this truck that is why I went to a ford dealer. Now I can't change my gears? Everything I try to do with this truck is a no! You can't use a programmer or you will void your warranty. This is getting my turned away from Ford! I think I am going to a Dodge Dealer next week and see what they have!

Try another dealer. Some just don't deal well with modifications, hell some of these places don't deal well with just fixing things....

What gears are you going to? I can just imagine a stealership costing waaaay more than an independant shop.

I am not sure now I have 3.73 and the tire size I have now is 35" and the next set will be 37" so a 4.11 will not be much of a change for the money. I don't know about a Diesel and Auto. transmission.I need the bottom end to pull a trailer and I just want more bottom end!
